Gators Wing Shack opened in Wheeling in 1996 with a simple idea. Great food, a warm atmosphere, and a place where people actually felt at home. By 2001, a new location in Palatine brought that vision fully to life as a grill and pizzeria, and the rest is history.

Family-owned and operated by Neil Jolcover and Dave Weiss, Gators has built something that goes beyond a good meal. Think less sports bar, more neighborhood hangout where everyone knows your name. The crowd is a genuine mix of families, regulars who have been coming for decades, lunch crowds, and night owls. Over 1,000 five-star reviews and generations of loyal customers say more than any award could.

That said, the awards don't hurt. Sixteen "First Place" wins, plus four "Best of Fest" honors at Chicago's annual WingFest, reflect the same standard that has guided the kitchen since day one.
